Port Louis, Mauritius, 11 June 2021 – Mauritius will be welcoming international travellers as from 15 July 2021. The island will be opening in phases during 2021 and the first phase, from 15 July to 30 September 2021, will enable vaccinated travellers to enjoy a resort holiday on the island.

Port Louis, 21 May 2021 - Mauritius has taken delivery of 500,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine from the Chinese manufacturer. This follows the 100,000 doses that the Chinese government graciously offered to Mauritius.

The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) is happy to advise that Mauritian authorities have expressed confidence in the national vaccination campaign that is on track to achieve herd immunity within the prescribed period. This has been set as a precondition for the restart of tourism.

Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels took the first step in an exciting and reassuring journey with the start of the Mauritius anti-COVID19 vaccination awareness campaign from 26 January 2021.
