Furnished with natural tones, soft linen, wood hues that reflect the particular warmth of the Mauritian character, rustic thatch roofs and lush vegetation surrounding you wherever you are on the gorgeous grounds of this spectacular resort, Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa is its own category of paradise.
This resort is on a prime Grand Bay property, perched on a peninsula with two beaches, each offering a different view. Woven into the legacy of the resort is a little piece of Mauritius' rich cultural history, blending old and new in innovative, creative ways: A new and unique safari-inspired kids club offers youngsters aged 3 – 11 years a world of fun and entertainment. Kids can broaden their horizons with activities in a generous playground and in a tented village. The old lighthouse now serves as a venue for the Teens Club and the spa has been built in the branches of an ancient banyan tree.
Canonnier has always remained a favoured family resort, with endless entertainment for adults and children alike. Its close proximity to Grand Bay gives you the option of retail therapy, while the resort's tree-top spa, built in the branches of a centuries-old banyan tree, has other therapies on offer to ease weary minds and bodies. Canonnier is a vibrant resort. While it is the choice for the fun-loving fraternity, it's been built with sheer relaxation in mind and the perfect balance for the ideal vacation.
Elegant simplicity best describes this resort, which is designed to maximise the unbelievable views outside your window. These upper floor duplexes are comprised of the parents’ sleeping area on the lower level adjacent to the unit's bathroom, with the children's sleeping area on the mezzanine level above. The children's sleeping area overlooks the lower section of the unit; due to the steep staircase leading up to the children's sleeping area the unit is not recommended for children under five years. Both garden facing and sea facing Duplexes are available.
Located on the ground and first floors in the southern area of the property, these rooms overlook the tropical gardens and palms to the sea beyond. Bathrooms consist of a separate bath and shower.
Apartments consist of two bedrooms and two bathrooms and are located in the gardens of the resort.
Located on the northern tip of the resort complex, these open plan suites offer sweeping sea views.
Sip a sundowner in the intimate lighting and elegant surroundings of one of Canonnier's two signature bars. If you're well rested enough after a long day on the beach to burn some midnight oil, hit the nightclub after 11pm.
Complete with a library, this bar is the perfect spot for a quiet drink before dinner or a delicious cocktail as you come off the beach.
You don't have to disconnect from the natural beauty around you while you tuck into freshly prepared island cuisine. Taking full advantage of the historical surroundings that define Canonnier, this open-plan, airy restaurant is charmingly set in a garden near the pool. An extra special feature of this restaurant is the live cooking demonstrations where you can watch the skilled chefs prepare your meal. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet style.
