From 13 to 21 November 2025, embark on a unique week-long journey as each day sees a different Beachcomber hotel hosting the 2nd edition of RumFest Beachcomber, in partnership with RumFest Ltd. A festive, touring celebration of Mauritian heritage through one of its most iconic treasures: rum.

Celebrating four centuries of local heritage
The story of Mauritian rum, inseparable from that of sugar, dates back to around 1630, when the first sugar cane-based spirits were produced. Heir to this centuries-old expertise, Mauritian rum today stands out for its recognised quality and numerous international awards.
Through RumFest Beachcomber 2025, the group’s eight hotels invite their guests to discover Mauritian rum in all its forms. Each festival day will be a unique stopover, featuring meetings with producers, tastings and presentations, as well as specially crafted rum and food pairing dinners. Carefully selected bottles will also be available in Beachcomber boutiques.
Throughout the month, hotel guests can also discover a dozen exclusive rumbased cocktails, created specially for the occasion with the island’s distilleries and producers. These signature creations will delight curious palates and connoisseurs alike: the Chamarel Old Fashioned, Pigeon Punch, Karo Kann Confit, Lazy Fruit Daiquiri, Gold Fashioned, Oaks & Ames Negroni, Exotic Punch, Beach Mojito and Lolita’s Split Banana.
“RumFest Beachcomber perfectly illustrates our commitment to celebrating and sharing the richness of Mauritian heritage,” says Julien Laugier, Corporate Sommelier at Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels. “We’re proud to contribute to preserving these ancestral traditions whilst introducing them to the world.”
