Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels is pleased to announce the appointment of Diego Guerreschi as Hotel Manager of the Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury. Since the 1st of August, he has been working alongside General Manager, Patrice Landrein to lead this iconic Mauritian hotel, which this year celebrates four decades of timeless excellence and refinement.
A graduate of the École Hôtelière de Namur in Belgium, Diego brings more than two decades of experience in luxury hospitality. He began his career at the legendary Four Seasons George V in Paris, before moving to the distinguished Le Bristol Paris, part of the Oetker Collection. Over the years, he held leadership roles across exceptional hotel properties within the Oetker Collection in France, the Seychelles, Saint Barthélemy and Antigua. Most recently, he served as Director of Operations at the renowned JW Marriott Cannes.
Multilingual and cosmopolitan, Diego speaks French, English, Italian and Spanish. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and holding both Italian and Belgian nationality, he grew up between Europe and Africa, spending his childhood in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda and Madagascar. As a teenager, Diego discovered Mauritius during a family holiday, a first encounter that left a lasting impression, shaping his appreciation for the island lifestyle and its unique sense of hospitality.
In 2023, he returned to Mauritius on holiday, finding once again the charm and authenticity that had captivated him years earlier. “Mauritius has always held a special place in my heart. Today, joining the Beachcomber Group and contributing to the iconic heritage of the Royal Palm is a privilege. Since my arrival, I have had the opportunity to work alongside passionate and dedicated Artisans. Their commitment, expertise and attention to detail impress me every day and strengthen my enthusiasm to contribute to the excellence of this remarkable destination. As the Royal Palm approaches its 40th anniversary, an exciting new chapter is unfolding. I am honoured to be part of it,” Diego shares.
