The fifth edition of the Mauritius Tour Beachcomber (MTB) will be held from the 30th of April to the 2nd of May 2020. The event, a must for mountain biking enthusiasts, is set to be even more exciting than in previous years. “We aim to offer mountain bikers a 5-star experience”, explains Arianne Devienne-Bellepeau, Leisure & Events Manager of Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels. From early November 2019, guests at Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa will enjoy a natural and balanced bistronomy concept based on high-quality local products.

On Saturday the 19th of October, the Dinarobin Beachcomber unveiled "Le Chant des Lucioles" (The Song of the Fireflies), a luminous art installation by Belgian-Tunisian artist Naziha Mestaoui. The piece adds to the magic of the 5-star hotel’s gardens by artfully bringing it to life at night. The launch was attended by Gilbert Espitalier-Noël, the CEO of Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels.

Paradis Beachcomber put gastronomy in the limelight from the 14th to the 18th of October, when the hotel welcomed Michelin-starred French chef Camille Constantin. During those four days, the chef ran culinary workshops for around twenty artisans. The intention was to create a space for discussion between the artisans and the Michelin-starred chef, and to allow the latter to share his experiences.

In keeping with its commitment to the environment, Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels has launched Bee Sustainable. This initiative aims at supporting sustainable beekeeping by installing hives in specific areas of hotel compounds. The programme was first introduced at Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury, and later extended to other hotels within the Group.

Ingrid Rima, bar artisan at Paradis Beachcomber and former intern of the Youth Employability Project (YEP) will create Beachcomber’s Beautiful Cocktail 2019/2020. Her cocktail made with the splash of pineapple juice, honey from the garden atParadis Beachcomber, mint leaves, fresh ginger and a pinch of cardamom for a fresh and delectable experience, impressed the jury. On September 4, the annual in-house challenge gathered bar artisans from the eight hotels of the group at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber, in the presence of the CEO, Gilbert Espitalier-Noël.

The 6th edition of the UTRB was marked by spectacular sceneries, a warm atmosphere and chills. All the ingredients were there to make this trail a huge success, and so, in spite of the bad weather. More than 1500 trailers and hikers from all categories had the time of their lives the weekend of July 27 and 28. Some 200 artisans of Beachcomber group were also among the participants as well as famous trailers including Maxime Cazajous, the French ambassador of the 2019 edition.
