Mautourco’s GUEST JOURNEY – Health & Safety Protocols

Posted in News on Monday, September 7, 2020 by The Beachcomber Tours Correspondent

Mautourco, our ground handler in Mauritius, is excited to welcome back our guests. They have shared some key components of their health and safety measures that have been implemented to safeguard guests when transferring them to and from their hotels or on their excursions. While we are still waiting for the re-opening of our borders, they are ensuring that all guests and employees’ health and safety are at the heart of this ‘new-normal’ travel experience.

Here is an overview:

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

  • Temperature checks will be performed before each tour or activity.  When a temperature of 37.8 °C or more is measured, access to the vehicle or premises will be denied and the guest or staff member will be referred to the nearest health office.
  • Cashless transactions will be encouraged.
  • Wearing a disposable mask is compulsory by employees and guests in public places.
  • All staff have been trained to comply with strict guidelines and hygiene measures.
  • All suppliers have been assessed and meet the required local health and safety protocols.
  • The Guest Experience document will be available on the mobile app for all in-house guests.
  • The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) of Mauritius has implemented a series of compulsory health measures to activate the recovery of all tourism activities. Tourist stakeholders must abide by the new protocols to better service their future guests. Mautourco was awarded its Safe Travels Certificate from the local health and safety authority.

  • Before departure, online check in for guests’ flights is highly recommended.
  • Temperature checks for guests will be carried out before entering the transfer vehicle to and from the airport and by local authorities and staff before takeoff.

VEHICLES | Transfers & Tours

  • Wearing of masks for the entire journey is once again mandatory for all guests and staff.
